Yeshaya Shulevitz Announces Run for District Leader, Plans to Self-Fund Campaign

Brooklyn, NY — My name is Yeshaya Shulevitz. I’m 18 years old, the Founder, President, and CEO of Shulevitz Holdings Inc. — and I’m running to become the next District Leader in Brooklyn’s 48th Assembly District.

Some people might think I’m too young for politics. But I believe the energy and innovation I’ve built in the tech and media world—through ventures like CapitalConnect.com and Shulevitz Media Group—are exactly what our neighborhoods need right now.

I’m running because our community deserves new leadership and fresh ideas. For too long, the same political machines have decided who gets heard and who doesn’t. I’m stepping up because I believe every voice deserves a seat at the table.

This campaign isn’t about climbing the political ladder. It’s about uniting communities that often feel divided and creating real opportunities for people who feel shut out.

I’m also determined to keep this campaign independent. That’s why I’m planning to self-fund it, investing $10,000–$15,000 of my own money. I don’t want to owe favors to political donors or special interests. I want to run a campaign that’s about people—not politics as usual.

How I Plan to Campaign
I’m not interested in doing things the old way—where campaigns are run behind closed doors and voters only hear from candidates through glossy mailers or expensive ads.

Instead, here’s how I’ll campaign:

✅ Face-to-face conversations. I’ll be out in the neighborhood, knocking on doors, talking to residents, and listening to real concerns.

✅ Community events. I’ll host town halls, coffee meetups, and Q&A sessions where anyone can show up and ask me tough questions.

✅ Social media transparency. I’ll share regular updates online, so people know what I’m working on and where I stand.

✅ Youth engagement. I want young people to feel empowered and included in the political process. I’ll be speaking in schools, community centers, and youth groups.

✅ Bilingual outreach. Our community is diverse, and I’m committed to reaching people in the languages they speak and the places they gather.

My goal is a campaign that feels open, honest, and accessible to everyone. I want to prove that even without big money or party bosses pulling strings, someone who cares deeply and works hard can earn your trust and your vote.

I’m running because I love this community—and because I believe we deserve better. I’m betting on myself, and I’m betting on Brooklyn’s future.

Follow my journey on social media. Let’s build something new together.

— Yeshaya Shulevitz
